INNOVATION LABS

Our Regional Innovation Centres

Since 2016, we have been expanding our network of application and innovation labs to support customers and partners across Southeast Asia. We began with the launch of three Regional Innovation Centres in Bangkok, Thailand – dedicated to Food (including separate Sweet and Savoury labs), Personal Care, and Coating & Resins. In 2024, we added a Performance Chemicals Application Lab, focusing on enzyme technologies, also based in Bangkok. In addition to our Thailand facilities, we now operate application labs in Jakarta, Indonesia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, serving the Food and Personal Care industries.

Together, these labs provide regional access to technical expertise, formulation support, and specialised testing equipment, helping customers accelerate product development and adapt to local market needs.

Food Lab

Our Regional Food Innovation Centres are a great place to start developing your next products. We have two large, dedicated, product development labs in Bangkok, Thailand – one for sweet and one for savoury formulations. Our state-of-the-art equipment combined with decades of combined knowledge and experience from our lab technicians, technical sales teams, and suppliers allows us to continuously create new innovative recipes for the local markets we support. From simple to complex formulations, we can help you bring your products to market faster.

Personal Care Lab

Are you looking for a new shampoo formulation? Need help with your sunscreen formulation? Our Regional Personal Care Innovation Centre is the perfect place to start developing your next personal care products. With the combination of our lab’s state-of-the-art equipment and the experience of our technical teams and suppliers, we help customers find solutions and create innovative new products. We know products and know local markets so we can help you bring your formulations to life. All of our facilities, technical expertise, and support from our specialists are available to our customers!

Coating Lab

Our Regional Coating Innovation Centre is a state-of-the-art research facility dedicated to solving the problems you face in manufacturing high-quality coating and ink products. At the RCIC, we create new concepts, panels, samples, and product prototypes weekly, all in an effort to bring clients the best possible product. We understand that testing and paint preparation are key to developing new and revolutionary concepts and products. Consistency and accuracy are of paramount importance. That is why our laboratory only uses the latest state-of-the-art equipment.

Performance Chemicals Lab

Our Regional Performance Chemicals Application Lab is a state-of-the-art lab specialising in the localisation of protein and starch hydrolysis processes to cater specifically to regional market demands. This advanced facility is set to transform enzyme applications, focusing on the specialised needs of protein extraction and starch hydrolysis in food processing, sweetener and ethanol production, and more. Intending to expand and drive our enzyme business, we offer local lab services to enhance our capabilities in enzyme technology. Our lab’s capabilities allow for rapid prototyping and adaptation to customer feedback, leading to quicker product development cycles and enhanced customer satisfaction.
